This Privacy Policy explains what data D Commerce collects, why, and how it's used. It applies to merchants who run stores on D Commerce and to shoppers who use those stores.
1. What we collect
- Merchant accounts: email address and a securely hashed password.
- Store data: store name, product listings, and (if connected) payment gateway credentials, stored server-side and never exposed to the storefront.
- Customer accounts: email, optional name, and a securely hashed password, scoped to the specific store a customer signs up with.
- Orders: line items, totals, and either a linked customer account or a guest checkout email — enough to fulfill and reference an order.
2. How we use it
Data is used to operate the Service: authenticating accounts, running checkout, maintaining order history, and letting merchants manage their stores. We don't sell personal data.
3. Payment data
D Commerce never sees or stores full payment card details. Checkout is handled by the merchant's connected payment gateway (e.g. Razorpay), which has its own privacy practices for the payment method data it processes.
4. Data sharing
We share data with the payment gateway a merchant connects (to process that store's transactions) and with service providers who help us run the platform (e.g. hosting, database infrastructure), under obligations to protect it. We don't share personal data across unrelated stores — each store's customer data is scoped to that store.
5. Data retention
Account and order data is retained while an account is active and for as long as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. You can request account deletion via our contact page.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
